History of the company

The company Siegfried Kohlbacher was founded on September 21, 1992 in the Von-Hindenburg-Allee in Berchtesgaden, where Mr. Kohlbacher sharpened metal band saws for the wood industry.

In the following years Mr. Kohlbacher started to design and build his own machines for sharpening and production of band saws.

In 2000 he built a new production hall in the industrial area, Pfaffenfeld in Bischofswiesen.

In 2007 an additional production hall was added. This enabled Mr. Kohlbacher to expand the machine and band saw production.

On January 1, 2010, the company was renamed Kohlbacher GmbH.
